Kaitlin Armstrong, 35, is allegedly on the run after she was accused of murdering Anna Moriah Wilson, a 25-year-old San Francisco resident and professional racer, due to a possible love triangle.

Wilson was in Austin, Texas on May 11 for an event when she was discovered by a friend "lying on the bathroom floor covered in blood," according to an affidavit obtained by The Washington Post. She was later pronounced dead by paramedics.

In an interview with ABC News Tuesday on "Good Morning America," Michael Armstrong told the station, "I know her and I know how she thinks and I know what she believes and I know that she just would not do something like this."

Addressing his daughter directly, Armstrong said, "We love you … and we are going to figure this out."

Last week, Austin police issued a warrant for the arrest of Armstrong on a first-degree murder charge in connection with Wilson's death. They determined that Wilson was romantically linked to Armstrong's boyfriend, professional cyclist Colin Strickland, prior to the murder.

In a statement to the broadcast network, Wilson's family said they are "devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter and sister."

"Her life was taken from her before she had the opportunity to achieve everything she dreamed of," they said. "Our family, and all those who loved her, will forever miss her."
