Sauk Rapids woman accused of abusing woman

SAUK RAPIDS — A 19-year-old Sauk Rapids woman has been charged with two felony counts of domestic assault. 

Baily Ann Thompson, 19, was charged in Benton County after she was accused in a criminal complaint of slapping a woman and threatening further violence.

At 4:07 p.m. on Monday, members of the Sauk Rapids Police responded

to a report of domestic assault on Onyx Way Northeast in Sauk Rapids. Officers met with the woman who said Thompson slapped her in the face. Law enforcement noted she had redness and swelling on the side of her face, according to the report.

After taking photos of the injury Officer Jared Timm spoke with Thompson who admitted to becoming angry the woman, slapping her face. She was arrested.
