Martin Jacob, Sr., 88, Marksville

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Martin Abraham Jacob, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Marksville, LA. with Fr. Abraham Varghese officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Martin Jacob, Sr., age 88, of Marksville, LA. passed away at his residence in Marksville, LA. on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Mr. Jacob is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Louise Augustine Jacob; daughter, Carolyn Jacobs; brother, Bernard Jacobs, sisters, Pearline Lavalais, Laura Lavalais, and Hazel Milton; one great grandchild, X’Savious Jacobs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Margaret Lymon Jacob; sons, Arnold Jacobs, John Earl Jacobs, Martin Jacobs, Jr., Albert Jacobs; daughter, Mary Jacobs; brother, Jackie Jacobs, sisters, Edena Coleman, Velma Ford, Marie Bonton, Thelma Washington, 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dondrae Jacobs, Vandrelle Jacobs, Martin Jacobs III, Sylvain Dorsey, Farrell Augustine, Jr., and Johnny Clark. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Arnold Jacobs, John Earl Jacobs, Martin Jacobs, Jr., Angelo Piazza Sr., Judge Angelo Piazza, Jr., Samuel Piazza, and Brian Deshautelle.
