FLINT, MI -- Aaron Gulyas has fulfilled his childhood dream of competing on “Jeopardy,” the legendary television quiz show.
The Mott Community College instructor’s episode will air on Friday, May 27. It can be viewed in Flint at 7 p.m. on WNEM-TV, Channel 5.
Gulyas is a history instructor at Mott Community College in Flint who has made the audition phase of “Jeopardy” three previous times in 13 years.
He finally made it into the Culver City, California studio in March of this year for the show’s taping.
“It has been a lifetime dream of mine,” Gulyas said in a statement. “I have always wanted to be on game shows, even as a little kid. As a big trivia person, I wanted to see how well I would do actually on the set versus in my living room – because I’m pretty good in my living room!”
Gulyas is also a podcast host of Great Lakes Lore which features weird history and the paranormal in the Great Lakes region, as well as The Saucer Life, a podcast about UFO history and culture.
He also has written multiple books on the paranormal.
The history instructor has been at Mott Community College since 2006.
Gulyas teaches World History to 1500, World History to Present, American Military History, History of the Holocaust and East Asia 1600 to Present.
