Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti ‘got really close’ filming podcast

Kristin Cavallari is coming clean on the status of her relationship with ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti since they’ve begun recording their “Laguna Beach” rewatch podcast together.

“I love Stephen so much and it’s been so nice to have him in my life again — and we’ve gotten really close,” the Uncommon James founder exclusively tells Page Six.

“But no, I mean, you know, there’s nothing romantic happening with us.”

Cavallari, 35, and Colletti, 36, dated in high school and the ups and downs of their teenage romance were captured on MTV’s hit show, “Laguna Beach.”

The series aired for three seasons from 2004 to 2006, and launched another successful spinoff called “The Hills.” Both shows catapulted Cavallari and lead Lauren Conrad to fame.

Now, Cavallari and Colletti are reliving all of the good, the bad and the ugly moments for their Dear Media podcast, which is expected to be released this summer.

“There are definitely cringe moments — quite a few of them,” the “Very Cavallari” star admits. “But once you can kind of get past that, it’s actually it’s just been such a fun experience.”

Cavallari says when she was around 17 and the show was first airing, she was “so emotional” because she “took everything so personally.”

“I was like, ‘MTV screwed with me,’ but talking to Stephen about it now, I’m like, ‘No, everyone actually was messed with just as much,” the mother of three adds, noting production’s influence on the cast. “And so that’s been really therapeutic.”

Cavallari explains how her bond with Colletti has been able to grow because of this experience.

“To hear Stephen kind of break things down when I thought he was lying to me or whatever, to sit here now and break it down, it’s been like, ‘OK, I can believe you,'” she says. “You know, like, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was.”

Cavallari adds, “It’s been really nice to clear some stuff up just to watch it from not such an emotional place anymore.”

Although she’s been enjoying the process now, the Uncommon Beauty CEO admits she was “hesitant” to record the podcast when Colletti first asked her to do it.

“I’m really happy that I agreed to do it,” Cavallari says. “It’s been so nice to reconnect with him and a lot of other people that we’ve had come on the podcast … I can’t wait to get it out there and see how the audience reacts to it. I feel like people will hopefully be into it because we really don’t hold back, we break everything down.”

Cavallari shared on Instagram last week that “Laguna Beach” alum Jason Wahler stopped by for some “shenanigans” and it seems even more special guests will be on the podcast.

When asked what’s been her secret for maintaining relevancy and success after reality TV for nearly 20 years, Cavallari says, “I’ve always just kind of been myself.”

“I’ve had this authenticity about me. I’ve never been trying to put on a show. I’ve never had an agenda. I’m just really being me,” she adds. “And I think that people realize that.”

In 2017, Cavallari leveraged her stardom to build her own jewelry business, Uncommon James, which has since become an empire with three stores in Nashville, Chicago, Dallas and a fourth opening up in the near future in Charleston, aside from its e-commerce.

“I really love these products that I’m putting out there,” the “Balancing in Heels” author tells us. “I only wear my jewelry anymore. I solely use my skin care products … and I think that people can tell if you just put your name on something or if you really are passionate about what you’re bringing to the table.”

Cavallari’s new “Summer Heat” collection from her jewelry line is out now and features “a lot of color and beads,” which the former reality star says is “really trendy right now.”

“Summer is all about fun and for me, I want these pieces to just be thrown on, left in,” she adds. “I’m all about effortless jewelry.”
