Warning: This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 70 and 71.

Last month, Shueisha and Viz Media released Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 70, titled From the Bottom of My Heart, which mostly focused on Shikimaru's conflict with Eida as the clairvoyant cyborg activates her Senrigan ability to find out what's going on outside of the lab, but it was the cliffhanger ending that had fans asking about Amado's fate.

If you've been keeping up with the story of Boruto, you already know that Code wants Amado to rescind his limiters so the villain can unlock the full potential of his powers. This is the reason why Code and Eida infiltrated the Hidden Leaf Village using Code's claw mark that he had placed on Shikimaru's nape. However, Amado knows that Code plans to kill him after he gives him what he wants.

Boruto Chapter 70 shows Code torturing Amado, forcing him to rescind his limiters, but the scientist doesn't obey at first, but after Code kidnaps him after Eida asks Code to retreat. In the secret hideout of the Kara organization, Code continues to threaten Amado, commanding him to rescind his limiters.

Amado asks Code what will happen after he removes his limiters, and Code replies that he will kill him. He would be free from the pain and die in peace, and Amado asks what would happen if he dies in shock from his torture, then he tells Code that he will remove his limiters if he agrees to spare his life.

Then suddenly, Amado appears to rescind Code's limiters, causing an explosion that surprises both Eida and Daemon. "It's a nice...feeling like I can't lose to anyone," Code says.

The final page of the manga chapter shows Code telling Amado that he will free him from his suffering as he raises his claw at the scientist. However, the chapter ends before we get to see what happens to Amado.

So, the biggest question now is: Does Amado actually die?

No, Amado is not dead. He's still alive thanks to Eida and Daemon, who turned against Code after Amado told Eida that Kawaki is an "ace up my sleeve."

Boruto Chapter 71 is now available to read on Viz Media. You can read more spoiler details about the upcoming manga chapter here.
