Nedra June Nielson Sherman, age 73, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was born October 20, 1948 in Price, Utah to Alford Christian and Nedra Fay Tucker Nielson.

She married Lynn Ray Sherman July 31, 1965, in Huntington, Utah; they were later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They lived most of their life in Huntington, Utah where they raised their family. They have four children, which were her pride and joy. She worked as a lunch lady in the Emery County School District for 27 years.

June loved music, cooking, crocheting, sewing, camping and fishing with her family. She made the best cheesecake, chicken noodle soup and sugar cookies. She always made clothes for her grandchildren. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play softball, barrel race, rodeo and dance. In fact, she loved anything her children and grandchildren were doing, and she was always there to support them and cheer them on.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Ray Sherman, Huntington, Utah; children; Cindy (Deb) Riddle, Salt Lake, Utah, Neil (Kerrie) Sherman, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Gillian (Joe) Wandell, Huntington, Utah; siblings; Leslie (Danny) Leffler, Huntington, Utah, Lori (Robert) Lemon, Miller Creek, Utah, Tina (Steve) Nielsen, Dinosaur, Colorado, Karl (Sandy) Nielson, Vernal, Utah; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nedra Noyes; sister, Lyda Nielson; grandson, Benjamin Joel Sherman; and a great-granddaughter Octavia Bell.

Funeral service, Friday, May 27, 2022, 11:00 a.m., Huntington Stake Center. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the church from 6-7:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery.
