The long Memorial Day Weekend is encroaching here in the US and over the next seven days, the most renowned sportswear companies are looking to kick off the unofficial commencement of the Summer season with a slate of sneaker heat. Getting in on the action this week is Nike, Jordan Brand, New Balance and more, all of which have been chef-ing up hot-ticket collaborations and coveted GRs. But before we run through this week’s best footwear drops, let’s first summarize what went down in the sneaker world last week.

HYPEBEAST‘s latest installment of Sole Mates featured a conversation with ABS-NOISE — a graffiti artist based in China who told his story about his love for the Air Force 1. On the news front, Nike made a major splash in the world of streetwear culture as it teamed with Louis Vuitton to open an exquisite exhibition devoted to the 47 colorways that Virgil Abloh designed. In addition, we also captured a closer look at Drake’s upcoming NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra colorways, Skate Like a Girl’s SB Dunk Low collab and Billie Eilish’s next Air Force 1 Low offering.

Last week also appeared to be a battle of the crossover collaborations because adidas and Balenciaga took over the NYSE to showcase and release its newest apparel and footwear collaboration. News also broke out that Y-3 plans to reissue the ever-classic Qasa High, Beyoncé and adidas plan to launch a new IVY PARK “Super Sleek” sneaker and Kanye’s adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT “Slate Carbon” was unveiled.

Other major moments included the official reveal of the Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo,” Sneaker Politics’ ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Always Ready” team-up, Ibn Jasper and Converse’s racing-inspired One Star Ox capsule, and Imran Potato’s collaboration capsule with Vault by Vans.

Now that you’re all caught up with the latest in sneakers, go ahead and dive into the best drops of the week here below. When you conclude with those, be sure to check out the HBX store.
