WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Some areas of Kansas face flooding concerns with the rain that is moving slowly across the state. It started Monday and is expected to continue into Wednesday.
The KSN Storm Track 3 team said some rainfall amounts are already fairly large. We will update the numbers below throughout the storm.
At 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Clearwater Fire Department posted a picture of a rural road covered in water. The fire department said:
- Flooding is occurring on 119th St. West. between 103rd St. South and the Sedgwick County line.
- Minor flooding is occurring on 183rd St. West just south of 111th.
- Clearwater Road is clear south of town to the county line at 2 p.m.
- Please do not drive into flooded areas!
On Tuesday, Wichita city crews were busy cleaning out storm drains to prevent street flooding.
