Prince Charles and Prince William have enjoyed a better relationship over the years after Prince Harry left the palace. However, several sources claimed that the Duke of Sussex has a strained relationship with the members of the royal family, especially after his and his wife Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Royal correspondent Camilla Tominey weighed in on how the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge feel about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's attendance at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration,

Prince Charles And Prince William Both Sad About Prince Harry's Attendance At Jubilee Celebration

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already confirmed that they will fly to the U.K. and reunite with the royal family to celebrate the Queen's 70 years on the throne. However, not everyone is allegedly joyful about Prince Harry's upcoming return to his home country.

"I don't know what the Cambridges are thinking about them being at the Platinum Jubilee right now because we know that relations between both couples still remain quite distant," Tominey said in a video for the Telegraph, Express reported. "Of course Prince Charles who the only emotions that have ever been used by him or his people about how he's reacted to things like the Oprah interview are sadness rather than anger. So dad is sad, I think brother is angry and sad."

Tominey hinted that the two heirs are not onboard with the Sussexes joining them in the celebration. However, she believed that the future kings would put on their brave faces just like how they reacted when the Queen chose Prince Andrew to be her consort during Prince Philip's memorial service in March.

Prince Charles And Prince William Allegedly Against Prince Andrew Escorting Queen Elizabeth At Prince Philip's Memorial Service

Both the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge were not on board with the idea of the Duke of York serving as the British monarch's consort during the special memorial service of the late Duke of Edinburgh. The heir apparent and second in line to the throne allegedly raised their concerns about the optics of putting the disgraced royal front and center at the event.

Prince Charles and Prince William were "absolutely united" that it was "unnecessary" to give the high profile role to Prince Andrew,  The Mirror reported. However, despite their protest, the 96-year-old monarch "overruled" the future kings and went ahead with her plans making it her "wish and final decision" to make the Duke of York her consort leaving Prince Charles and Prince William "shocked and dismayed."

Some claimed that the Queen allegedly "couldn't say no to her favorite son," according to sources. There were insiders who alleged that Prince Andrew asked for the role, but others insisted it was the Queen's choice.

"The Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge reluctantly accepted that [Andrew] would travel with the Queen to the abbey as they both live in Windsor," an unnamed source said, Daily Mail reported. "It was arguably palatable if simply down to logistics, but it goes without saying that most of the family were dismayed to see him walking the Queen up the aisle."

The same incident could happen again with both future kings feeling sad about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joining the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration.
