Mother unable to contact son who went missing in Detroit 3 weeks ago, worries about his well-being

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Has anyone seen Nikko Staffeld?

The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips from the public in the search for a 28-year-old man, who disappeared on the city's west side on Wednesday, May 4.

His mother said she's been unable to contact or locate Staffeld and is concerned for his well-being.

According to investigators, Staffeld left a residence on the 12000 block of Linwood at approximately 3 p.m. and never returned.

Staffeld is described as a white male, 5'7'' to 5'8" tall and around 200 lbs., with brown eyes, brown hair and a reddish-brown goatee.

It is unknown what he was wearing when he went missing. According to his mother, Staffeld lives with mental illness.

Anyone who has seen this missing person, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to call the DPD's 10th Precinct at 313-596-1001.
