The Kansas City Chiefs are entering a new offensive chapter under head coach Andy Reid. What 2021 contributors could see a lesser load in 2022?

Any fan sees that the Kansas City Chiefs offense will look very different in 2022. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is gone, tight end Travis Kelce is another year older, and question marks remain at running back. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes still leads head coach Andy Reid’s scheme, so you can never count out this offense.

Reid himself acknowledged the incoming changes for the Chiefs, in an interview with Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd.

"“You just do it with a little different flavor. What we try to do, Colin, we try to take the player’s strengths and exploit them. And then whatever weaknesses they have, we try to teach them and coach them to turn those into strengths. And so that’s what we’ll do. It’s going to be a little different, but it’ll be different with the personalities of the kids that we have now. And they’ll write their own little story to this thing.”"

The Chiefs drafting wide receiver Skyy Moore and speedy running back Isaih Pacheco only opened more possibilities for this upcoming season. At this point of the calendar year, anything is possible for this team with Super Bowl expectations.

However, for new players to shine, others have to have fewer opportunities. There are limited snaps, even in the high-octane Chiefs offense. Looking at each position on the offensive unit, what previous Chiefs could see a lesser role, or worse, in 2022?
