An Alabama pastor said he was arrested because of a misunderstanding after Childersburg police handcuffed him while watering his neighbor’s plants according to CBS 42.

Michael Jennings of Vision of Abundant Life Ministries in Sylacauga said he was watering his neighbor’s roses after church services Sunday when another neighbor called police about a suspicious person.

Jennings continued watering the plants when a sergeant arrived on the scene, and tensions escalated, he told the station.

A police report of the incident claimed Jennings was belligerent with officers and threatened to sue them for racial profiling, according to CBS 42.

Meanwhile, the neighbor who called police said she made a mistake and begged officers not to arrest Jennings.
