Pittsburgh Steelers star Diontae Johnson is in hot waters after he missed his own youth football camp over the weekend.

According to Brian Batko of Post Gazette (via Sports Illustrated), the Steelers' star wideout was unable to make it to his football camp at Cupples Stadium due to flight delays. Because of the issue, Johnson's management promised to hold a free event for the kids before the official NFL training camp starts.

Despite the promise, however, parents of the kids expecting Johnson to arrive expressed their anger and disappointment. The camp reportedly cost $125.

“It was just very sketchy. My son, luckily, was happy-go-lucky. He didn't really care. The other kids he was with were devastated,” one of the kids' parents said of the situation.

Diontae Johnson has a lot going on this offseason, especially as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.

The participation of the wideout in the team's OTAs starting Tuesday has been a major talking point in Pittsburgh, although the fact that he had plans to arrive in the city before the start of their team activities suggests he could be in attendance.

Perhaps Johnson will be able to provide everyone with an explanation and more clarity of what happened in his youth football camp if he attends their OTAs. If not, they fans will have to wait for a little bit more to hear from him.
