Watch: Johan Camargo avoids tag at home plate with insane slide

Johan Camargo was down 0-2 in the top of the third inning after getting two called strikes that were outside of the strike zone, but he worked a seven-pitch walk to get on base.

And that wasn’t the most impressive thing that the 28-year-old would do in the frame.

Roman Quinn, the hero in the first inning, soon followed Camargo by hitting a double to right-center field.

Although J.T. Realmuto had already scored from third, it looked like the throw to home was going to get Camargo before he avoided the tag and got his hand in to score the sixth run of the night for the Phillies:

Camargo — who spent his first five seasons in Atlanta — received his 2021 World Series ring from the Braves before the game.
