Indiana man identified as victim of rural Tazewell County fatal crash Saturday

TAZEWELL COUNTY (WEEK) - A man from Fishers, Indiana has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash in rural Tazewell County Saturday night.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says James Bachman, 76, was pronounced deceased at the scene at the intersection of US 24 and Dee-Mack Road in rural Washington at 10:20 p.m. May 21.
An autopsy shows that Bachman died from multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash.
Toxicology is pending.
Authorities were alerted at around 7:54 p.m. of the crash.
This case remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police, the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
