Nice to see Henry Czerny back as Kitteridge after all this time. I thought he was great in the first one and I don't believe he appeared in any others (until now).

Between that and the 'Part One', is there any rumour - if not outright confirmation - that these films mark the end of the franchise? (At least for a few years until Paramount inevitably reboot it, I mean.)

As long as Tom Cruise is able to run and do stunts, they'll keep making them. I can't see him stopping.

Trailer looks incredible and it's difficult to believe all of that footage is just from Part One.

I feel like Tom Cruise is the last of the big-name action stars. There used to be loads of them in the 80s and 90s, where you could plaster their name across a poster and guarantee an audience. But they all seemed to dry up and lose their appeal. Except Tom - and even his massive public embarrassments and questionable choice in religion can't seem to stop him! He was there with the big guns back in the 80s and he's outlasted all of them.

I wonder if he'll get sick of filmmaking first or if he'll eventually fade away like his old contemporaries?

I'm slightly surprised he's never tried directing (save for one TV episode) although he's been producing since the first "Mission: Impossible".

I hope to god this plays before Top Gun: Maverick at the cinemas. This trailer needs to be seen on the big screen.

It wasn't even a teaser trailer, it was a proper full blown 2min + trailer for a film that isn't even out until 14th July 2023 (although i guess technically it could be called a teaser).

Kitteridge being the only voice heard throughout the entire trailer telling Ethan Hunt to pick a side gave me chills. I can't wait for this.

Tom Cruise the true last action hero of our times.

I saw Top Gun Maverick at my local Cineworld last night and the MI trailer was indeed shown. It was the last trailer screened.

I'm amazed this isn't out until next year - I'd have thought this would be the big US thanksgiving release with part 2 next year. Looks like all the filming is complete - presume there is a lot of CGI and post production work to do?

I did chuckle at the obligatory Tom Cruise running fast shot

This looks freaking awesome. Tom certainly knows how to make an action movie. Unbelievable that he can still do it at his age. Long may it continue.

I think he was 60 this year wasn't he? In awe of this stunt, and seeing what goes into pulling something like that off.

Yeah, but I just assumed the movie was filmed when he was still in his 50s.

The hype surrounding this inspired me to finally watch the already released MI films. I started at the beginning the other day and liked it enough to keep going. So I have five more to watch before I see this, which won't be until it comes to streaming as I'm unable to go to the cinema nowadays.

The stunts look insane, I'm excited to catch up.
