Five Flags Center is always exceptional with bringing new and exciting acts to their venue each and every year. But where they normally slow down a bit in the summer, they're ramping up just in time for warmer temperatures.

Jesse Gavin, Marketing Manager at Five Flags, stopped in studio to discuss three exciting shows that will be happening over the next few months. One of them was just announced on Y105 this week!

That show is Disney Junior Live: Costume Palooza! While not technically a summer show, as it's coming to Five Flags on September 21st, it's set to bring a great deal of theatrics to the stage.

From characters like Mickey, Minnie, Doc McStuffins, and more, paired with sing-along songs, dancing, superhero thrills, and more, Disney Junior Live On Tour: Costume Palooza might just be the can't-miss fall event for the kids!

Tickets to Disney Junior Live just went on sale last week and are available to purchase at the Five Flags box office and on their website.

Gavin also talked about Dubuque Dances with the Stars, an event that, since its inception in 2010, has raised more than $2 million for over 100 local nonprofits.

"We've got seven very wonderful Dubuque-area professionals who are raising money and going to be doing some dancing," Gavin noted. "It is a fantastic event, and each of the dancers has a particular charity they are raising the money for. It's a great event with a lot of great causes involved."

Five Flags Center's Jacquelyn Pfohl will be one of the dancers as well. She's raising money for Riverview Center, a local organization dedicated to helping victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Tickets are available at the Five Flags box office and on their website.

Last, but certainly not least, there's ABBAFAB, a tribute to the popular Swedish band, coming to the area on June 1st, 2022. ABBAFAB is billed as "a stunning tribute to the music of ABBA."

"If you liked the Mamma Mia! movies with all the ABBA music in there, this is gonna be a great show for you or maybe your mom if you forgot to get her a Mother's Day gift," Gavin added with a laugh. "That [show] is going to be in our historic theater."

Tickets are available at the Five Flags box office and on their website.

Gavin also reminds people that they can easily sign up to receive email updates about show announcements, ticket information, or discounts at Five Flags Center. You can simply click the "Get Updates" tab on their website. You can also follow them on Facebook.
