Friday, May 20th

12:49am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of South Grimmell Road.

7:24am: Alan Scott requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 900 Block of West State Street. The officer spoke with the subject, who advised they were fine.

11:02am: Brayton Crouse reported a Stray Dog at 1901 North Grimmell Road. The officer did not locate the animal.

12:10pm: A caller advised of a truck blocking the sidewalk in the 100 Block of East State Street. The officer realized it was a construction worker conducting repairs in the area.

12:25pm: Officers were called to 1901 North Grimmell Road. The officers learned that before school began for the day, two male juveniles had been involved in an argument. It was reported that one male juvenile displayed a large knife to the other student. The student advised he was not afraid of a knife and the male reportedly grabbed a shotgun from the vehicle and displayed the weapon. The officers located the other vehicle involved in the parking lot. It was occupied by two male juveniles. During the interaction, the officers located the shotgun and ammunition in the vehicle. A 16-year-old Male was taken into custody and parents were contacted. The juvenile was charged in Juvenile Court with, “Harassment 1 st Degree- Aggravated, Carrying Weapons on School Grounds-D Felony, and Manner of Conveyance/Assembled Gun-Simple.” The juvenile was later transported to a Juvenile Holding facility in Eldora.

8:26pm: A deputy requested assistance from an officer at 900 Locust Street in Scranton for a Fight in Progress. The deputy will handle the investigation.

8:32pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for an Intoxicated female. The officers arrived and learned the female had been advised to leave the Gaming Floor and was located in a room at the Cobble Stone Hotel. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Betty Ann Hoyle, 66 of Pleasant Hill for, “Public Intoxication – Simple.”

Saturday, May 21st

12:59am: An officer located several vehicles at Daubendiek Park and noticed subjects with flashlights in the area. The officer approached the subjects, who were playing Frisbee Golf. The officer advised the park was closed and sent them on their way.

2:51am: An officer located an Open Door at 1016 East Lincoln Way Street. The building was secured by the officer.

6:53am: Glenn Grotluschen reported a fire in the front yard of 613 South Wilson Ave. The officer located the reported fire and spoke to the homeowner, who was burning yard waste and was watching the burn.

12:01pm: An officer spotted a Parking Infraction in the 400 Block of East State Street and spoke to the residents. The vehicles were moved.

12:38pm: A Traffic Stop at Wall and Grimmell resulted in Matthew Wendl of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:26pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Kaylie Millard of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:41pm: A Traffic Stop at Central and Grimmell resulted in Jorja King of Newell being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:45pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 200 Block of Hill Rose Lane for, “Vehicle Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”

4:45pm: An officer responded to a Fire Alarm Activation at 1001 West Washington Street. There was no fire, but a mechanical error with the alarm.

4:49pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1300 Block of Ferguson Circle.

6:49pm: Amanda Rumley reported two Jefferson residents were harassing her by text message. The officer went and spoke to the two subjects, who advised they would end contact with Rumley. All were advised to block the others.

7:02pm: Don Robison reported a confused elderly male in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officer learned the subject belonged at the Gardens Facility and he was returned there.

7:18pm: Tim Pound reported a truck driving on the trail at Daubendiek Park. The officer located the subject, who was installing benches and signs in the park.

8:38pm: Officers responded to 207 West Gallop Road for a reported Suicide Attempt. A female subject was taken to ER by Ambulance. During the investigation, officer’s learned the couple had a No Contact Order and arrested Zachary W. Clewell, 29 of Alexis, IL, for, “Violation of Protective Order – Simple.”

9:31pm: Chad Lones reported a male standing behind the counter at 508 North Elm Street, and the employees appeared to be very nervous. The officer spoke to the employees, who advised the male was a friend and all was fine.

Sunday, May 22nd

12:55am: An officer secured a building, after locating an Open Door at 501 West Greenewood Road.

1:47am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of North Locust Street.

8:02am: An officer was requested at ER for a non-complaint patient.

1:57pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Central resulted in Patricia Lehman of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:12pm: Mikel Daves reported receiving a Scam Text Message. He did not incur a loss.

8:59pm: An officer checked on a fire in the 200 Block of East McKinley Street. A resident was present while burning yard waste.

11:19pm: A deputy requested assistance from an officer at ER with a juvenile.
