McMullen Assisted Care director of nursing honored

Logan Flinner, director of nursing at McMullen Assisted Care in Loudonville, was recognized this month by the Ohio Assisted Living Association.

Logan Flinner, RN, director of nursing at McMullen Assisted Care in Loudonville, was awarded the Honoring Excellence in Assisted Living designation by the Ohio Assisted Living Association this month.

This award is given annually to outstanding employees that demonstrate vision, innovation, leadership and compassion in their roles, by the Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA), which represents over 590 licensed Assisted Living Communities in Ohio.

Flinner won the award as Outstanding RN Director of Nursing. Through her representation of the values the Ohio Assisted Living Association.

John McMullen, owner and administrator at McMullen Assisted Care, nominated Flinner and sent a letter reporting “Logan started with us as a personal care giver. She worked part time until she received her RN degree and became our director of nursing three years ago. She showed an amazing amount of perseverance, calmness, faith and teamwork when her community was hit hard by the pandemic. Logan has helped us achieve cite-free surveys as well as instituting in-services to teach our staff. Her kind, yet professional, attitude is a great example for our staff.”

Winners of the award are nominated by their community and selected by a committee of the Ohio Assisted Living Association Board of Trustees.
