Come on down to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) building at Estes Park High School on Saturday, May 28th. From 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., where the EPHS Sustainability class will be hosting a Workshop with five stations that focus on recycling a different material, so be sure to RSVP online!

The PET station reuses recycled plastic to turn into filament. Film presses old Amazon packages to sew together to make a variety of newly sewed items. HDPE uses very small plastic bits and melts them down to fit into molds, mostly bowls. Compost gathers organic food scraps to put in a composter to mix around into multi-use compost. Paper recycling blends papers together and shapes them into sheets to make into little booklets.

It’s important to keep a small mountain town like ours as clean as possible. Litter is unsafe for wildlife, and it’s important to preserve what we have. At our workshop, you can learn how to do your part in keeping a clean environment for not only the wildlife, but for the people as well. Please RSVP online. Looking forward to seeing you on May 28th!
