63 is no age. Nick Knowles is 4 years younger than her and does a similar type of show, would you have made that same comment about him?

I'd rather have a revival of Treasure Hunt.

Yeah, why not, it’s not a sexist remark.

I have much fonder memories of Challenge, I don’t know if that’s just because I was that bit older and better able to appreciate it.

Treasure Hunt is classic tv. Anneka running around in a yellow jumpsuit, Kenneth Kendall as host, clues that make those on 3-2-1 look straight forward and that classic tension building tactic of having a clock ticking down to zero..
Oh and the contestants had to look stuff up by reference book - there was no Google in the 1980s!

Nice of Radio 4 to give her a slot to promote it on the Today programme together considering it's no longer on the BBC.

In the Suzi Perry / Dermot Murnaghan reboot of Treasure Hunt, they had to impose various restrictions (I forget what) because technology (eg Google) existed which would have made things too easy.

I'd like to see a modern version of Treasure Hunt come back. It's a shame that the Suzi Perry version was canned after five episodes all based in Kent, and a series of foreign episodes which I tend to disregard in TH because they are set in places I don't know (I always preferred the ones set in the UK).

I wonder if the Channel 5 series will still see her driving the VW buggy, accompanied by Dave the soundman. And will there still be the enormous artic as the "operations centre"? I imagine they won't have the catchy title music - much like the Suzi Perry version of Treasure Hunt didn't have Zac Laurence's Peak Performance title music.

I doubt that Treasure Hunt could be made today. Health and safety and other regulations, the cost of flying a couple of helicopters, crowd control at landing sites etc. etc.
