Dee Snider delivered an update his fans are not ready to hear yet.

Since his debut in 1974, Snider has been constantly maintaining the spot in the Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. This caused his band, Twisted Sister, to score more spotlight in the past years.

But after heading the tours for decades, Snider told his fans that he is most likely done doing concerts and shows - and it left fans extremely sad and broken.

On Twitter, a fan who recently moved to Springfield, Illinois, asked the 67-year-old whether he ever tours in the area since he has been joining his concerts in New York City.

Unfortunately, Snider offered an unideal response.

"Charlie, I am Dee Downer tonight. No, I don't tour anymore. I don't even think I'll do any more shows. I'm focusing on writing, directing, and producing. Sorry man," he said.

He also set the record straight about a potential Twisted Sister comeback, saying that they agreed they would not be like every other band that says goodbye and then returns afterward.

For Snider, reunion shows could bring two feelings to the band and its members: the success could make them feel young again, or the flop could make them old. The singer clarified that he never wants to feel the latter.

Instead of doing comeback shows, Snider suggested that bands should continue performing until they are certain that they would never come back anymore.

Twisted Sister Breakup: Why Dee Snider's Band Disbanded

CBS News reported in 2015 that Twisted Sister announced their disbandment after hiring Mike Portnoy following A.J Pero's death due to an apparent heart attack.

At that time, it did not reveal the reason behind the decision. But they continued to tour and hold tribute concerts in the months leading to their split.

In 2017, Snider sat down in an interview with SiriusXM Volume show, "Trunk Nation" and opened up about Twisted Sister's ending after their anniversary tour.

"Basically, the level of intensity that I performed at with Twisted Sister, I had to stop while I could still deliver that before I could no longer deliver that," Snider said, as quoted by LoudWire. "The headbanging, the thrashing, all that energy... Where Alice [Cooper] always seemed like a crotchety old dude, and he's crawling around the stage, that works great for a 72-year-old dude now."

Twisted Sister, in the end, played their final concert in Monterrey in November 2016.
