On Monday Andy Bunker and Sam Crenshaw (in for Randy McMichael) were breaking down the Atlanta Braves winning two out of three games against the Marlins over the weekend while also talking about the struggles of outfielder Travis Demeritte.
Demeritte who had been a fun story earlier in the season has gone 0 for his last 28 plate appearances and during that stretch has struck out 12 times and drawn zero walks. So that led to Andy and Sam to asking the question, has the Travis Demeritte experience come to an end for the Braves?
“I think the experience is going to get adjusted or modified to be a different role then what they have been counting on him for. I got to tell you I was very excited to see him get his opportunity to play with a big league club, with him being a local product. Him coming up with some big and timely hits when they were needed, I was very happy about that but right now he is just struggling so much and looking to dig his way out of it,” said Crenshaw.
Here what else Andy & Sam (in for Randy) had to say about Demeritte’s future in the audio clip above.
Make sure you tune in to Andy & Randy every Monday-Friday 10a-2p.
