VSP: One dead near Waynesboro in crash on Interstate 64

WAYNESBORO — Virginia State Police said a motorist died Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 64 near the border of Waynesboro and Augusta County, a press release said.

Shortly after 8 a.m., police said a driver that was headed east on I-64 near Exit 94 ran off the interstate and did not survive the crash.

State police are still in the process of notifying the driver's next-of-kin, the release said.

The crash remains under investigation.
