Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher headbutted amid Man City celebration

Oasis frontman Noel Gallager made just as many headlines in his singing career for fighting with his brother as he did for the music he created. But those were typically wars of words that didn't leave Gallagher covered in blood.

Such was not the case at last weekend's Manchester City match when the "Champagne Supernova" singer was headbutted mid-celebration by the father of one of the players and was left a bloody mess.

Gallagher recounted what happened to the talkSPORT soccer podcast, detailing how the celebration for Man City's game-winning goal turned into Ruben Dias's dad accidentally headbutting him.

"As the third goes in, there's absolute bedlam in the stadium," Gallagher recounted. "I’m jumping around like an idiot, passing my son around like the Premier League trophy... I turn around, Ruben Dias' dad runs straight into me, headbutts me, I’m on the floor, covered in blood..."

Gallagher apparently stuck around for some of the celebrating despite needing to get stitches.

“I look like I’ve had my head smashed in. Unbelievable," he said. "Lots of Man City fans are asking me what happened. I’m just saying, ‘You’ll never guess.' There’s not a mark on him [Dias’ dad]. He’s a big bear of a man. He almost knocked my teeth out..."

Manchester City rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 in the final game of the Premier League season.
