COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State football program is still in the running for four-star cornerback Ethan Nation.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect out of Roswell High School (Ga.) released his top eight over the weekend. His latest list includes Ohio State, USC, Auburn, Clemson, Oregon, Michigan, Alabama and Texas A&M.

Nation, who has 51 offers, is the No. 22 CB and the No. 178 overall player in the 2023 class, according to the 247sports.com composite rankings. He tallied 37 tackles and one interception. On offense, he had 45 receptions for 565 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior season.

After being offered last May as an intriguing find, Ohio State has kept its name in contention. Nation has meshed well with the Buckeyes after visiting last summer - despite weathering assistant coaching changes and uncertainty on the recruiting trail at the end of the calendar year. He is one of 11 cornerbacks remaining on Ohio State’s big board for the cycle.

The Buckeyes hold one commitment from Florida four-star CB Dijon Johnson.

The Peach State product has been building a relationship with new safeties coach Perry Eliano after the departure of Kerry Coombs. Ohio State remains in play, but Clemson and Auburn have the upper hand heading into the summer.

Ohio State falls out for 2023 top-ranked New Jersey prospect

The Buckeyes have fallen out of favor in the recruitment of four-star offensive tackle Chase Bisontis.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect out of Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) left Ohio State off his top five over the weekend. His latest list includes Michigan State, Rutgers, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M. The Buckeyes had made his top eight previously.

Bisontis is the top-ranked player in New Jersey, and the No. 5 OT and the No. 58 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the 247sports.com composite rankings.

The Buckeyes have two offensive line commits for the 2023 class in Luke Montgomery and Joshua Padilla.

Ohio State offers 2023 Maryland three-star OT

The Buckeyes have extended their 12th offer for an offensive tackle in the 2023 cycle: Oluwatosin Babalade of national powerhouse DeMatha Catholic (Md.).

The 6-foot-5, 296-pound prospect is the No. 48 OT and the No. 549 overall player in the 2023 class, according to the 247sports composite rankings. The three-star recruit has racked up 23 offers thus far.

Despite his moderate ranking, the offensive tackle has seen his stock soar over the past few months. Expect some other big schools to take a shot at this talented athlete who recently switched over from defensive line/tight end to an exclusive role on the O-line.

Ohio State does enter this recruitment late, as North Carolina and Rutgers have been in on him. The Maryland big man is coming off a visit with the Tar Heels and will visit the Scarlet Knights and South Carolina in the summer.

Babalade joins teammate Jason Moore, a four-star defensive lineman who was offered by the Buckeyes in January. Moore has an official visit scheduled in Columbus on June 24.
