Raisin Twp., MI – The Michigan Senate, including Senator Dale Zorn, supported approval of Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund projects for 2022, including improvements to a Lenawee County park.

The NRTF is supported by interest earned on funds generated from the development of state-owned mineral rights.

Senate Bill 1028 includes $267,300 for a $361,300 development project to renovate shelters and restrooms at Raisin Charter Township’s Mitchell Memorial Park.

The project also includes new pathways to connect the parking areas, shelters and ball fields. The bill now heads to the House of Representatives for consideration.
