First responders were called out to search for a missing kayaker Sunday evening on Conewango Creek near Kennedy in the Town of Poland. The call was first reported at about 7:00 PM, with the search resuming Monday morning. Chautauqua County Sheriff Jim Quattrone says State Police are being assisted by the Chautauqua County Water Emergency and Tech Rescue teams, along with a number of local fire departments.
