A Fort Worth man who claims he was attacked by a police officer while in custody is speaking out, and the Fort Worth officer involved in the incident has been fired for using excessive force on a suspect.

Surveillance footage shows then-Officer Mitchell Miller violently shoving a handcuffed man to the ground as they were approaching the jail entrance.

That man, Tawayne Holloway, had been arrested for public intoxication. He fell face first onto the concrete, hit his head and lost consciousness.

Holloway tells NBC-5 since that January day, he has nightmares about the incident.

The department says Miller never reported his use of force and denied it when a supervisor asked him about it. He was fired last Thursday, and the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case for any possible criminal charges.
