A domestic dispute between a father and son happened Saturday evening at the Carolina Pointe mobile home park in Evansville.
19 year old Alex Gardner came home to find his father, Brian Gardner there.
Alex called 911 to have his father and another person removed.
Police say after the son had been told they were allowed to be there a fight ensued.
Witnesses say the gun was not pointed at the father, but went off during a struggle, shooting the elder Gardner in the stomach.
He went to the hospital and the son was arrested and charged with battery with a deadly weapon.
He was released on a $750 dollar bond.
His father is believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
