Hartford, WI – LS1(SW) Scott A. Lawrence of Hartford, WI was the US Navy recipient for the Richard Bong Award presented by the Milwaukee Armed Forces Committee. “It was an honor and privilege to represent the US Navy and the Washington County Community,” said Lawrence.
Lawrence received the award Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Wisconsin Club for his participation in over 2,700 military funerals throughout his military career.

“I am a Certified Funeral Honors Instructor for the US Navy as well as training for local VFW and American Legion posts. I am also a ‘live bugler’ and sounded TAPS at many of those funerals. I was nominated by my Reserve Center in Madison.”
Lawrence is a Lifetime VFW member of Post 1393 – West Bend and a member of the American Legion Post 19 in Hartford.
He is also a CNIC Certified Funeral Honors Instructor and NRC Madison, WI – Special Events Coordinator.
