The Dallas Mavericks continue to live and die by the 3-pointer, but that is not the only thing that killed them in Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors.

Speaking to reporters following the 109-100 loss to the Warriors, Kidd highlighted how rebounding was a huge problem for the Mavs as well. Golden State outrebounded Dallas 47-33, and it made a big difference as the Dubs came away with the win.

“I've said we're going to live and die by the three, but we're also dying by not getting rebounds,” Kidd said, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

Kevon Looney dominated the glass for the Warriors once again with 12 rebounds, while Andre Wiggins also had a great day collecting boards with 11. For the Mavs, Luka Doncic led with 11 rebounds, but no one else from the Mavs had more than five.

True enough, if Dallas wants to win even one game against Golden State, they need to get more physical and battle for the rebounds. During these tough times when their 3-pointers are not clicking, they need those second-chance points and extra possessions to stay in the game.

The Mavs are now trailing the Warriors 3-0, and so Game 4 could be their last chance to right the ship. If they fail to do so, then they are more than likely to go home with a heartbreaking sweep.
