little OPERA theatre of ny, National Black Theatre & Harlem Opera Theatre to Present ‘American One Acts, a preview concert’

The little OPERA theatre of ny is joining forces with the National Black Theatre and Harlem Opera Theater to present “American One Acts, a preview concert” on June 3, 2022.

The showcase, which will take place at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, will be directed by Philip Shneidman and conducted by Gregory Hopkins.

Audiences will highlight from the company’s upcoming double bill of William Grant Still’s “Highway 1, U.S.A.” and Kurt Weill’s “Down in the Valley.” Performers include Soprano Carami Hilaire Mezzo-Soprano Sarah Nelson Craft, Tenor Antonio Chase, Jr., Baritones Kyle Oliver, and Adam Richardson, and Bass Gregory Sheppard. Catherine Miller will be at the piano.

The full production of the double bill is set to take place in November 2022.

This concert is presented as part of the New York OperaFest.
