KSP says a family member had found him

UPDATE (5/24/22) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for Jessamine County Sheriff Kevin Corman who was found dead inside his home Sunday afternoon.

According to Hager and Cundiff funeral home, visitation will take place Thursday at the RJ Corman Hangar 2 located at 101 RJ Corman Drive in Nicholasville from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will also take place Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the same location. His funeral will follow.

According to the funeral home, donations can be made to Jessamine Humane Society and the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boy and Girls Ranch.

UPDATE: (MAY 23rd, 2022) – According to the Jessamine County Coroner the preliminary autopsy results are in for Jessamine County Sheriff, Kevin Corman.

The results from the State Medical Examiners Office shows Corman died of natural causes.

The coroner says a final report with the detailed cause and manner of death is likely 4 to 6 weeks away.

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ/May 22nd, 2022) – State Police confirm Jessamine County Sheriff, Kevin Corman, was found dead inside his home Sunday afternoon.

According to KSP, troopers were called around 3:30 P.M. to the home on West Maple Street, belonging to Sheriff Corman for a person found dead inside.

“It’s something you don’t see in Jessamine County every day,” said Nicholasville resident Alex Banks. “Prayers to all the family, family to the close family, everybody that’s involved in this.”

That person is confirmed to be Corman.

KSP says a family member found him.

State Police say no foul play is suspected, that right now its believed Corman died from natural causes.

An investigation is still ongoing. The cause of death will be released by the State Examiner’s Office.
