The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrived at Curtis Circle in Sonoma around 9:45 p.m. and identified Shayne Greenway, 48, as the suspect. They also said Greenway has a parole warrant and three felony warrants for his arrest.

After being spotted by deputies, the sheriff’s office said Greenway took off on foot and was later caught with roughly 226 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of heroin.

Following an investigation, deputies say Greenway was also in possession of a Chevy truck, which was said to be reported stolen out of Sonora with a license plate swapped from a different vehicle. The sheriff’s office also found dog tags and a collapsible baton inside the truck, which did not belong to Greenway.

The suspect was then arrested and booked into the Dambacher Detention Center where he faces drug and weapons-related charges, as well as displaying false vehicle registration, possession of a stolen vehicle, obstructing or resisting a peace officer, on top of his felony warrants.
