Director Bong Joon-ho is collecting a talented bunch of stars for his new sci-fi movie, following 2019's Oscar-winning Parasite.
The movie will be based on the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton and already has The Batman's Robert Pattinson attached to star in the movie.
Now, Marvel and Star Wars stars have joined the party, with Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Mark Ruffalo and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Naomi Ackie both in final negotiations to join the cast.
Toni Collette, who has recently starred in Netflix hit The Staircase has also signed up.
The novel's story follows Mickey7, who is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonise the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there's a mission that's too dangerous – or even suicidal – the crew turns to Mickey.
After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
