Doctor Strange 2 Writer Says Loki Season 2 Will Get Weirder Because of MCU Film

It's no secret that the Loki series had a healthy amount of weirdness and this would be expected in a show about the God of Mischief. However, it looks like Loki Season 2 is going to be even weirder. Michael Waldron says that the episodes of the second season will get even crazier, and it's all thanks to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Michael Waldron served as the head writer of the first season of Loki before he went on to pen the Doctor Strange 2 screenplay so it's safe to say that he has seen a lot of weirdness. Luckily, his experience is set to open up more crazy possibilities in Loki Season 2.

"I don't know if I could go any weirder than we went in Season 1," Waldron told Polygon. "We had an alligator drinking wine out of a kiddie pool. That felt like the Mount Everest peak of weird!"

He added, "I think there's plenty of opportunity there. We're always looking to outdo ourselves, but hopefully, it's always driven by character."

Waldron was quick to point out that working on Doctor Strange 2 that they can do just about anything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point.

"Yeah, I learned on this movie once again, no idea is too crazy. You can write Stephen Strange possessing his own corpse, and maybe you'll end up shooting it. That encourages me to be bold, which is good," he said.

We're loving the idea that Michael Waldron is getting ready for more weird things in Loki Season 2. Hopefully, Waldron will continue to embrace the weirdness and blow our minds yet again with the second season.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still screening in theaters worldwide.
