Sabres sign another player from 2021 draft class

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Sabres have inked a fourth player from their 2021 draft class to their entry-level contract.

Olivier Nadeau was a fourth-round pick, who currently plays for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL. He joins the first overall pick, Owen Power, second-round pick Aleksandr Kisakov and third-round pick Josh Bloom as being under contract.

Both Nadeau and Bloom played in the 2021 Sabres Prospect Challenge against the Boston Bruins and the New Jersey Devils, and neither registered a point.

The 2021-22 season is still going for Nadeau, as Shawinigan is in the QMJHL playoffs. In six playoff games, the winger has six points. In the regular season, the 19-year-old had 35 goals and 43 assists for 78 points in 65 games.
