The Dallas Mavericks find themselves down 0-2 to the Golden State Warriors. A victory on Sunday will go a long way, as it will prevent an impossible deficit to come back from. However, the organization took a hit financially after Game 2, as the club has been fined an additional $100,00.

According to Shams Charania, the NBA has fined the Mavs for “violating league rules regarding bench decorum. This is the third fine Dallas has received this postseason, racking up a total of $175,000 so far. Perhaps the bench has finally learned its lesson?

However, the energy the Mavs bench brings isn't really the issue. In fact, Steve Kerr is a fan of how involved the Dallas bench is with the games. Even so, the Warriors' head coach believes they went too far when Stephen Curry accidentally passed the ball out of bounds thinking it was his teammate, per Brad Townsend. It was a crucial turnover at the time but it clearly broke the league's rule of bench decorum.

Game 3 should be a highly touted contest. The Mavs are in a must-win situation as a loss practically seals their fate. No team in the history of the NBA has ever come back from being down 0-3. Based on how well the Warriors are playing right now, it's hard to believe Dallas will be the first organization to break that record. The bench will likely bring the energy while Luka Doncic aims to keep Dallas alive in the NBA Playoffs.

Tune into Sunday night's game at 9 P.M. Eastern on TNT.
