HAMPDEN(WGME)—Maine State Police are looking for a man from Jay that led an officers on a pursuit.
According to Police, the Augusta Regional Communications Center received a call around 10:07 p.m. Friday night about complaints of a black Dodge Ram operating erratically on the northbound side of I-95 in Pittsfield.
That information was passed onto the Bangor Communications Center, where a warden that was in the area spotted the vehicle and put on his emergency lights.
Police say at first the driver Barry Hall, 33, of Jay began to pull over but speed off.
The warden believed that Hall was under the influence, and began to follow Hall before losing sight of him.
An officer with the Hampden Police Department later spotted the car on Western Ave in Hampden but was not able to stop Hall. A State Police Trooper then picked up the pursuit as Hall flew through the intersection of Mayo and Kennebec Roads eventually driving his car into the woods fleeing the scene.
A warrant has been issued for Hall’s arrest on the following charges: Eluding an Officer, Operating after Habitual Offender Revocation, Driving to Endanger, Criminal Speed and Violation of Bail.
