On May 22, Jonas Kaufmann is set to appear on the CBS show “60 minutes.”

The new interview tracks the tenor’s new appreciation for taking the stage with a live audience following the pandemic. Norah O’Donnell spoke with Kaufmann and also goes behind the scenes on his warm-up routine.

The tenor is currently in Australia for performances of “Lohengrin” and is set to return to the Royal Opera House for a production of “Cavalleria Rusticana” and “Pagliacci.” He is also set to go on tour during the summer with performances in Vienna, Munich, and Salzburg, among others.

Kaufmann recently released a compilation album for Sony Classical entitled “The Tenor.”
