It’s a shame the actress quit the profession as she was great, but the whole storyline was awful. If ever there was a character who DIDNT need a whodunnit murder it was her.

If the writers were so insistent that Amy had to die there could’ve been much better ways of going about it too such as a tragic illness type death or a dramatic stunt (they’ve had plenty) but that whodunnit and more so the reveal as well was an insult to one of the all time greats of Hollyoaks.
I think they could have played the storyline with big mo instead, had they wanted someone to kill off and there would have been similar drama and storylines, pat was killed rather quickly iirc with there being little build up prior.
Sending her off to New Zealand would have been much better and having David return to sort out her home could have still happened. There wasn't many characters too concerned after she had died either.
I agree with the majority of these characters.
Killing dannielle, hunter and steven was stupid and thoughtless.
Steven was great in his final run and a grandson to pat and kathy whilst also having connections to janine stacey and brannings - you could have told more stories for him.
Hunter without mel and steve, could have returned and been looked after by lisa or you could have had ian take care of him whilst showing him to become a better man than his dad.
Dannielle also had so much potential and the complete opposite to ronnie i would like to have seen ronnie have a better ending and leaving the square to join dannielle. Ronnie could have split up from jack for good and taken matthew too.
I think pat could have always returned and it would be nice to have seen her and kathy in the square but on the flip side i loved her ending, all the characters that were family to her were there (inc simon) except frank. It was a fitting end for her and im not sure she would have had that if she wasnt killed off.
Killing kush was a mistake and if stacey was written out arthur should have gone with his dad to dubai.
I also was dissapointed when smma summerhayes the cop was killed off. I think she could have survived the crash and given up her job due to injuries and invested her money into a business on the square.

It was one of many reasons why I stopped investing in the show. With so much Youtube content out there, I was pleased to hear about the past, where is family were and his connections to Ken and the Grimshaws.
Then he married Rita nad left with Gloria first time round in the most cruel way.
Then killed off screen.
The actor was decent too!
I miss him, Tom, Matthew, Rosemary, Chris, Jack and Val the most!
