I'm meteorologist Haley Lapointe, Here's an update on your Stevie forecast. The second half of the weekend is here and we're going to ramp up the temperatures even *** couple more degrees into the low nineties will go conquer Lebanon keen down into Nashua another day with cooler temperatures at the coast to because the winds will shift to come off of the cooler water, the ocean temperature only in the low fifties. So it's hard to get *** warmer air temperature, especially with the winds coming off of the ocean. Now, as far as what to expect today. Hazy sunshine after *** little bit of morning fog and then in the afternoon and evening there will be some scattered showers, downpours and thunderstorms roaming and some of those thunderstorms could be on the strong to severe side with damaging wind gusts. The main threat. Two points, this is the measurement of the moisture in the air and it's been relatively high above 60 degrees in many spots. So that puts us in the humid category. But later this afternoon, I do expect the dew points to go up *** little bit and that's fuel for these thunderstorms to damaging wind gusts. *** medium threat of that. With these storms later today, hale also *** medium threat but only *** small threat for flash flooding and even an isolated tornado. That threat is very low today. As far as what to expect with the severe level threat anywhere in this yellow shaded area. That's where we think there is the greatest chance forcing isolated severe storms. So again, it's one of those types of deals where it's not everybody getting *** thunderstorm, but if you do happen to have one passing through, they could contain the strong wind gusts, the hail, the heavy downpours, I do think even from Manchester out toward the sea coast we could have some of these downpours but *** much lower chance of the thunderstorms being on the severe side. We've had some rumbles of thunder passing through overnight. Those of you in the far northern reaches of the state, maybe woke up overnight hearing those rumbles and quick downpour. The frontal boundary that's going to trigger the storms later this afternoon is to the west here and that's going to move through and behind that. *** big change in the way it feels so today, steadily seeing the temperatures climbing into the eighties and even some low nineties through the Merrimack Valley by later this afternoon will be hazy sunshine and then anytime after say 23 o'clock in the afternoon, we see these thunderstorms bubbling up first in the north country, it appears later in the afternoon and then during the latter part of the evening through the southern half of the state with some rumbles of thunder, heavy downpours. They're gone by monday morning we'll have some clouds around on monday but peeks of sunshine and brightening here or there. But the big thing is it's going to feel so much different. Look at this upper fifties for highs in the north country And *** lot of places, upper 60s to low 70s for highs on our monday, Tuesday only in the sixties, and so much closer to make *** reality for the rest of the work week and even into next weekend temperatures in the mid seventies. So no real big warmup, like what we experienced this weekend, much cooler tomorrow, Tuesday highs in the sixties and then the next round of showers, likely thursday and then into friday.
