Who are those characters that never interact despite a rich history, family connection or mutual friends/traumas?

Plainly who are also characters that just never seem to interact at all period?

There's some in EE who are related and hardly acknowledge each other's existence:

    Kathy & Martin
    Martin & Peter/Bobby
    Ben & Bobby
    Sonia & Jack
Whitney & Lily (I think the show has genuinely forgotten Lily is Whitney's niece)
Pretty much all the other Mitchells & Amy/Ricky

Then there's Shirley & Denise who at one point I thought they were building them into Pat/Peggy-style "frenemies" yet they haven't had a scene together for years. Ben & Jay's friendship was more or less dropped for a couple of years too.

Talking of Callum, you rarely see him with the Carters these days (although to be fair they've remembered the connection a bit more since Tina's death).

When was the last time Billy and Lola had a scene together?

Kathy went from having constant interaction with Rainie & Stuart to absolutely none at all and I don't think she's even reacted to Max snatching Abi.

Victoria & Moira in ED were friends for a short while (it was Moira who she confided in when she was raped) but they never interact anymore

Zack has never interacted with Ben, and he hasn't spoken to Kathy since Gavin's funeral. We still don't know if he even knows who they are.

Dotty worked for Ben at one point, running the Arches while he was ill, but I don't think they ever shared a scene.

Seconding Kathy/Martin, Whitney/Lily, Peter and Bobby/pretty much everyone. Also the various Mitchell kids on the square (Ricky, Amy, Raymond, Lexi, Ben, Lola, Will, Janet) rarely interact, although maybe that's more understandable given that they're kids. Do Ricky and Amy even know that Raymond's their cousin as well as their step-brother?

Zack and Ben need to have a scene together given they were step brothers and Zack/Kathy should also have some scenes.

Liz McDonald was in at the birth of Rosie Webster, but when Rosie returned after a fairly long absence Liz had nothing to do with her. You’d think Rosie would always be a bit special to her, and she’d be interested in her life.

Sally inadvertently saved Tracy as a baby from being killed but not sure it is ever mentioned (Sally regrets it I bet.)

Sally wasn’t in Corrie when Tracy was a baby. Sally didn’t appear until 1986 by which time Tracy would have been 9 years old

A child then. It still happened.
    Thanks for pointing that out.

I’ve just looked it up. It was a character called Sally Norton who took baby Tracy, who was in a buggy, from outside the Rovers where Deirdre had left her whilst she went inside. Then a lorry crashed into The Rovers and Deirdre thought Tracy had been killed.

Sally Norton was another expectant mother who Deirdre met when she was having Tracy. She’s a completely different character to the Sally who is now in the Street. Sally Metcalfe’s maiden name was Seddon. Sally Seddon didn’t appear in Corrie for the first time until a few years after this incident with Tracy happened

Looks like we both needed Google in the end.
    Thank you.

Kirk and Maria in Corrie don’t interact enough considering that they’re brother and sister.

I always thought this about Sonia and Phil. There’s a lot of history between both of them because of Jamie and they have always been friendly, but I couldn’t tell you when they last interacted

Vi lived in Canning Town and must have known Babe, Mick, Shirley, Stan & Sylvie yet Vi has never shared a scene with Mick or Shirley since she arrived in Walford.

Maybe when Sonia saved Ben's life with a knife and a ballpoint pen? That was a while back though.

Think the last for Whitney and Phil was when she nearly ran him over (she was aiming for Ben but hit Kat instead). Not sure if that counts.

Paddy and Debbie Dingle. She first arrived in the village as his and Emily's foster-daughter, but they haven't interacted in decades and this is never mentioned despite his close relationships with Aaron and Chas.

I was watching the Eastsnders 2010 episodes on iPlayer and the scenes between Sonia and Phil were great. Phil in general as a lot more laidback and classed Sonia is a friend in the episode I was watching.

In Coronation Street, I wish that we saw Nick, Sarah and David interact as a trio more often. There's a fascinating sibling relationship there to be explored, the 3 of them together, and it never really has been.

Also, we don't see much of what Sarah and Nick's relationship is like. We've had plenty of storylines over the years about David and Sarah's relationship and about David's relationship with Nick. But nothing really about how Nick and Sarah feel about each other
