In celebration of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 by Virgil Abloh, one of the most heavily anticipated footwear collections in recent memory and the first time the iconic AF1 silhouette was crafted outside of a Nike factory, Louis Vuitton has put together a special immersive exhibition at the Green Point Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.

For the show, guests are invited to experience 47 editions of Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers through a meticulously-curated venue featuring a monogrammed treehouse, graphic-treated DJ booth, cloud-covered walls and more. “The expansive showcase charts the creative dialogue between Nike and Louis Vuitton envisioned by the Maison’s Men’s Artistic Director Virgil Abloh for the Spring-Summer 2022 collection prior to his passing on November 28, 2021,” LV writes in the description.

A handful of special guests are invited by Louis Vuitton to share their first impressions of the exhibition which brought out 21 Savage for the opening performance. “Everything makes sense when it’s Virgil. It’s no coincidence when it’s Virgil, stylist Bloody Osiris comments. “It can’t be stated how much he was able to read the way to communicate in the current sort of zeitgeist,” Nike director, Fraser Cooke continues. “With Virgil, I always think about constantly raising the bar and inspiring others to do the same,” says Metro Boomin.

The Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh exhibition is now open to the public at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn and will run until May 30. A number of virtual spaces and corresponding physical installations will also take place around NYC and the world.

Elsewhere in fashion, Ib Kamara speaks on becoming Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ successor.
