The Boston Celtics' Game 3 performance was a rollercoaster in the worst way possible. After going down big in the first half against the Heat, they proceeded to come back to within one point of their opponents. However, when they needed it most, their stars buckled. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum both misfired on their shots AND their passes all game long.

Naturally, their personal performances didn't sit well with both men. Both Tatum and Brown sounded off after the heartbreaking Celtics loss. Brown was up first. While the star had a great game in terms of scoring, he cost the team multiple shots due to his turnovers. Brown admitted that he played bad himself, and said it would never happen again. Tatum, on the other hand, had a far worse game than Brown. Unlike his partner, the Celtics star couldn't muster up anything for the team. He scored just 10 points on terrible efficiency, and had a rather unfortunate injury scare as well. After the game, Tatum called that performance “unacceptable”, noting that he let his team down.

At the very least, it's great to see that both Tatum and Brown took accountability for their bad performance. This could've been a great statement win for the Celtics. Winning Game 3 would've put them in a massive advantage in the series. Instead, they're now forced to fight off their back foot and avoid going down 3-1.

Can these men go out and fix their mistakes, though? Admitting your faults is one thing, but changing them is a completely different story. We'll see how Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum adjust in Game 4 at Boston.
