Dodgers Win Behind Late Offensive Rally

The Dodgers took on the Phillies again on Saturday night in the city of brotherly love. With the first bullpen game of the year, expectations for fans were cautiously low. But Mitch White came out and delivered for them.

Los Angeles got behind early thanks to a couple of big hits off of White and David Price. That included homered off the bat of Alec Bohm and Kyle Schwarber. But the bats answered back late in time one.

A Mookie Betts homerun in the 3rd inning tied things up again. Another big Mookie hit in the top of the fifth put them within one. A Will Smith homer in the following inning once again tied things up.

But it was the 8th inning when the Dodgers turned things around. Gavin Lux singled to drive in Austin  Barnes to take the lead, and Los Angeles never looked back.

A wild pitch and a homer off the bat of Austin  Barnes set the stage for another Craig Kimbrel save to give them their 27th win of the year. Up next, they’ll send out Tony Gonsolin to try and give them the series sweep over Philly.
