THE EVENT IS BEINGUT P ON BY THE FBI CITIZENS ACADEMY. SHOUT OUT TO THEM IN THE RED CROSS. THE GOAL IS TO COLLECT 40 UNITS OF BLOOD THE DRIVE WILL BE HELD AT THE BOY SCOUTS HERITAGE COUNCIL BUILDING, WHICH IS A ON BLANKENBAKER. THE ANCGEIES ARE HOPING THAT BY ADDING A COMPETITIVE ELEMENTS THE EVENT MORE DONORS WILL SHOW UP TO SUPPORT THEIR FAVORITE AGENCY. WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL COMES DOWN THEY CAN NAME THE AGENCY. THEY WANT TO DONATE THEIR BLOOD IN THE NAME OF AND THE WINNING AGENCY WILLEC REIVE A REAYLL NICE AWARD AND THE WINNERS. WILL OF COURSE GET SEOM BRAGGING RIGHTS TO BLOOD RIVAL

Louisville Metro Police and Louisville fire departments are rolling up their sleeves for a good cause next week — a blood drive.These first responders are partnering with the Red Cross and FBI Citizens Academy to collect 40 units of blood with a Battle of the Badges. By adding a competitive element to the event, organizers are hoping to draw out more donors. Donors get to show support for their favorite agency. Larry Cottingham, president of FBI Citizen Academy, said, "When an individual comes down, they can name the agency they want to donate their blood in the name of ... and the winning agency will get a really nice award." The winner get bragging rights, as well.The blood drive will be held May 23 at the Boy Scouts' Lincoln Heritage Council Center on Sycamore Station Place. It runs from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
