Yuri Briar is finally meeting the Forgers next week! In Spy x Family Episode 7, a post-credits scene revealed how Yuri learned that his sister Yor Forger has married a man he never met and the character is preparing to meet her new family. Not surprisingly, voice actor Kensho Ono is hyping up Yuri's anime debut in Spy x Family Episode 8!
The official Spy x Family anime Twitter account has shared a character preview for Yuri Briar along with a description of the character and a comment from Kensho Ono who provides the voice of Yor's younger brother. Check it out below.
"This is Kensho Ono. I'm going to play Yuri Briar," Ono said. "I'll try my best to make it even more rough even though it's already rough!" He then expresses his love for his character's sister and asks fans to continue to enjoy the series.
We already heard Kensho Ono in the second episode of Spy x Family when Yuri calls Yor. In addition to that, the character appears in the closing sequence of each episode. However, Yuri's first real appearance in the anime was in Episode 7's post-credits scene. We also saw a younger version of Yuri in a flashback as Yor told Loid Forger how Anya Forger was similar to her brother.
So what can we expect when Yuri finally meets the Forgers? It was clear that he was shocked to find out that Yor's boyfriend is actually her husband. With that in mind, Yuri is determined to learn more about this mysterious man and we can't wait to find out how he'll react when he finds out that Loid and Yor have a daughter.
Spy x Family Episode 8 is titled The Counter-Secret Police Cover Operation ("Taihimitsu Keisatsu Gisō Sakusen") and will premiere on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
